Mardi Gras-Burg Festival is a free, fabulous, family-friendly, fancy-dress festival, full of colour, sparkle and laughter. An all-inclusive community event to celebrate diversity and champion equality for all!

Their motto is "WE ARE MORE FABULOUS TOGETHER" and with this in mind, they want everyone to feel that they are part of a safe, supportive and caring community, free to be their own authentic selves.

The Palace Ipswich team, Sasha Trajik-Mole, Iona Toyboy, Alexis Diamond, Binxx and BiPaula were asked to perform the show that they had done at Queerswich as the main Drag act for the Inaugrual Mardi Gras-Burg.

The girls kicked off their heels and threw on their sneakers and brought colour and sparkle to the cricket pitch in the middle of Verrenkamp Community Oval.

It was a very hot day but the girls persevered and had a brilliant day. So many Information stalls, food vendors, Market Stalls, Kids Activities, Health/Support services and a Fancy Dress Fashion Parade.

Palace Ipswich looks forward to supporting this event every year.
